We know that students need ample opportunities to practice their oral language in order to become strong readers and writers who can meet Common Core Standards in English and other languages. This workshop will model strategies you can use in the ELL, DL, or general education secondary classroom to boost students' oral language skills and increase their ability to read and write effectively. Participants will engage in activities that will enhance vocabulary development, build oral fluency and prepare students for rigorous literacy tasks.
